Dental bridges are fixed restorations used to replace missing teeth. This means that they are not removable by the patient. Prior to beginning the bridgework, your soft and hard tissues should be in great shape to prevent future problems. Your dentist will equilibrate your bite if necessary to eliminate any adverse interference that may exist. After your teeth are prepared, a temporary bridge will be placed to keep your remaining teeth in place until the bridge is finished and ready for cementation.
