Alveolar Osteitis

Definition:this is a condition that occurs once a tooth is removed and infection occurs. Also known as ‘Dry Socket’, Alveolar Osteitis occurs when there is blood clot becomes displaced or bacterial invasion of the bone takes place. Smoking can increase the likelihood of it happening.
