Brushing at home
As well as seeing your dentist and a dental hygienist on a regular basis, it’s also essential to keep tabs on your oral hygiene regime at home. Adopting a good dental care routine will reduce your risk of dental disease, and keep your smile looking radiant.
We recommend:
- Brushing twice a day using fluoride toothpaste
- Choosing a brush with a small head and soft-medium bristles
- Brushing for at least 2 minutes each time
- Using circular motions
- Spending 30 seconds on each quadrant of the mouth
- Brushing gently
- Brushing your tongue
- Flossing daily
- Replacing your toothbrush or toothbrush head every 3 months
