How does dental monitoring work?
Dental monitoring is a service which can be added to your orthodontic treatment if your doctor deems you suitable. You will receive a ScanBox (a holder that converts your smartphone into a scanning device) and an invitation to join the dental monitoring app. Once you login to the app, you’ll establish a direct digital line between yourself and your leading orthodontist. So, when your next appointment is due, you can simply scan your smile and send it to your doctor without having to visit the clinic at all!

The best thing about dental monitoring is that it drastically reduces the number of visits to your orthodontist. Without the service, your clinician needs to see you approximately every 6 to 8 weeks. With dental monitoring, you can book this 3-months-long journey around the world without pausing your treatment.

Dental monitoring’s ScanBox is extremely easy to use. Pop your phone in, launch the app and follow the instructions. Taking a full scan of your teeth requires a couple of minutes and can be done virtually anywhere (as long as you’ve got internet connection).
Any smartphone will do the job. Dental Monitoring’s app uses a sequence of photos of your teeth to create the scan. Advanced AI then combines the pictures into a preview of your smile and sends them to your orthodontist.
Yes, you will still need to visit your orthodontist for some of the manipulations, particularly at the start of your treatment.
Only your orthodontist can advise you on the progress of your treatment and determine how long it’s OK for you to be away. Discuss your upcoming trip with them as soon as you know, so they can adequately plan the treatment process for you.
