Crafted from high strength porcelain and custom-made for the individual, Emax Veneers are thin layered and bonded to the front surface of the teeth. This enhances both the function and appearance of teeth. Emax Veneers are well-known for their durability and stabilising effects, being fitted without the need for tooth etching as is the way with more traditional dental veneers.
Patients benefit from both Emax Veneers and the dentist’s high level of expertise, experience and craftsmanship. Prospective patients are welcome to visit Baker Street Dental Clinic to view examples of how we meet the needs of those looking for dental and cosmetic treatment. We have galleries with photographs and impressions that enable individuals to see how patient expectations are continually being met to the highest standards.

Porcelain veneers are made from porcelain ceramics, but the overall type will depend on their porcelain make-up and how they are prepared. In essence there are two kinds of porcelain veneers; feldspathic porcelain veneers and pressed porcelain veneers.
The difference with pressed ceramic veneers like Emax Veneers is that they are first cast in wax and fashioned to match the contours and shade of a patient’s tooth structure. Patients are involved in the design of the veneers before the final set of Emax Veneers is produced, to ensure that they are completely happy with their new smile.
Feldspathic porcelain veneers, in contrast, are constructed using ceramic porcelain layers, which are then cured at high-powered temperatures. Due to the layering effect these veneers are usually thicker than Emax Veneers and are not as strong or durable as pressed ceramic veneers.
Feldspathic porcelain veneers require some prior tooth preparation to help the veneer and tooth bond. Feldspathic porcelain veneers like Mac Veneers and Emax Veneers produce smile enhancing results where patients are proud to show off their white teeth.
Patients experience a range of benefits from Emax Veneers:
Designer thin veneers with added strength and durability for longer lasting results.
Less likely to chip when in contact with teeth on the opposite arch.
Minimal preparation time necessary so patients receive their veneers faster.
No tooth etching or drilling required, which can weaken the tooth structure.
Bonds to tooth enamel; a stronger, more secure bond than dentin-bonding.
Higher translucence and aesthetic quality offering a natural tooth shade.
May be combined with feldspathic porcelain for enhanced aesthetics.
Veneers are also available that combine both the feldspathic and pressed porcelain techniques.
The pressed porcelain Emax Veneers are first casted and glazed. Using the step back method, the clinician removes a slim layer of the Emax Veneer before applying feldspathic porcelain layers to form a final veneer, which combines the best of Emax and Mac Veneers.
Patients looking to enhance their appearance by improving the structure and aesthetic quality of visible teeth when smiling will benefit from Emax Veneers. Adults with misaligned, misshaped or crooked teeth are also good candidates, as are those with chipped teeth and teeth with inconsistent spacing and gaps. An alternative to teeth whitening, Emax Veneers also serve to not only re-shape but also mask tooth discolouration and staining. Patients can feel confident knowing that they have teeth that are aligned and white.
Once the dental clinician has evaluated a patient’s tooth structure, bite and facial features, appropriate recommendations will be provided. When Emax Veneers are chosen patients are involved in the design of their veneers. Having the option to “trial a smile” gives patients the chance to see what they can expect when their final veneers are fitted. A model of similar dimensions is used for the trial, so that patients can select the features they are most happy with.
Once patients have decided to proceed with the casting of their bespoke Emax Veneers, we provide full information on the preparation process and within a week to ten days patients are fitted with their custom-made veneers. The fitting simply involves bonding the Emax Veneers to the front surface of the teeth with dental resin cement.
